Ways We Partner

  1. Originally I had started off with a much different way of executing my concept. I started with a brochure produced by MSU and the City of East Lansing, "100 WAYS WE PARTNER" the brochure literally had 100 ways listed. In the beginning I didn't realize how long and tedious this process was going to be. I created a storyboard for each way and reached 50 before deciding to cut it down. Once I started copying and pasting each and every sentence/word in flash I began to lose interest in the project because I wasn't creating anything anymore, just merely copying and pasting and it felt like it was taking foreverrrr. Sunday night I'd had it and started over. This is my start over and it is much more straight forward to the point, and much less boring, I hope. I took a few key points from the 100 that represented what i was trying to communicate- that msu students, faculty and staff give back to this community and it makes a better place for us all to live.

  2. I think it might of been mentioned in class, but adding some sound, like simple music could help add interest. And maybe changing the type for MSU by making it more bold or to a different font would at some variety. Another way to add some variety is just what types of tweens you choose, for example using masks, or fading in/out.

  3. I agree that some instrumental background music would make this video more exciting. Overall I think you did a good job. There were a couple scenes where there were "e"s at the end of sentences that appeared to be cut off a little bit. I'm not sure if that was the font or something else but it looked a bit strange. The timing was good. I had enough time to read everything and it moved quickly enough to keep me interested

  4. I also agree with some sort of music, voiceover, or sound effect being added to the video!!
I think the colors go well together, but it might be nice if there was another accent color to maybe highlight the most important parts of your information!
Also, I think you did a really good job with keeping things constantly moving and keeping the eye interested, but I missed seeing resolution in the movements/seeing where things end up, because they would already move on to the next thing. So, that could be another thing?
    but yay! good job :)
